BCK and the Vermont Legal Food Hub

BCK was one of the first law firms to offer pro bono legal services to farmers, food entrepreneurs and supporting organizations. Launched in Vermont at the beginning of the pandemic, Vermont Legal Food Hub, Jeff Bernstein received a Distinguished Service Award for his Legal Food Hub work in 2021. One of the major projects on which BCK has worked for the last several years led to the formation of Green Commons of Vermont, Inc. in Putney which seeks to preserve property at the heart of that community for a farmers’ market, community gardens and a public space where members of the community can gather.
